Ingredients

For the Burgers

  • 1 lb Ground Hamburger 80/20 Blend, Ideal
  • 4 qty Hamburger Buns
  • 1 stick Melted Butter
  • 1 qty Chopped Onions
  • 1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning
  • Elite BBQ Smokers SPG (Salt, Pepper, Garlic) Sprinkle to your liking

For the Cheese Mixture

  • 4 oz Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Dukes Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Crumbled Bacon
  • 1 qty Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning To taste

Instructions

  • Season the Patties: Generously season both sides and edges of the burger patties with Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning and Elite BBQ Smokers SPG.
  • Make the Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, combine the shredded cheddar, Dukes mayonnaise, crumbled bacon, and a pinch of ranch seasoning. Mix thoroughly and refrigerate if needed.
  • Preheat the Griddle: Set up your griddle with both hot and cool zones.
  • Grill the Burgers: Cook the patties just shy of your preferred doneness to avoid overcooking while the cheese melts later.
  • Toast the Buns: Brush buns with melted butter and lightly toast them on the warm zone of the griddle.
  • Brown the Onions: Sauté chopped onions on the griddle until caramelized, then move them to the cool zone.
  • Melt the Cheese Mixture: Top each patty with browned onions and a generous spoonful of the cheese mixture. Cover the patties to allow the cheese to melt thoroughly.
  • Assemble and Serve: Place the patties on the toasted buns and serve hot. Enjoy your next-level Crack Burger!

Notes

Some Helpful Tips for Success:
  • Use a dual-zone griddle to better control cooking and melting.
  • Don’t overcook the patties—melting the cheese will add a bit more cook time.
  • Refrigerating the cheese mixture helps it stay firm until ready to melt.
